To break some of these myths, Yesware, the Boston-based company focused on tracking information in emails, has tracked more than 500,000 emails to analyze five of the most popular email myths and see if they are true or not.
1. Monday is the best day to send an email
The study has found that the highest email response rate occurs on weekends probably because people take it slower while on weekdays we just reply to essential emails. It really doesn’t matter which day of the week we send the emails, although the Monday hype derives from the fact that it marks the start of the week and people have time to catch up before starting with the rest of their tasks.
2. We respond faster to emails in the morning
The report notes that emails sent between 06:00 and 07:00 in the morning had faster responses.
