Millions of people have used the internet to search for information on phone numbers, and they do so for a variety of reasons. You have probably checked your caller ID and noticed unfamiliar numbers. If the party didn’t leave a message, you’re left to wonder who it was and what they wanted.
You’ve probably also been victim to prank calls at some point or wanted to check on unfamiliar phone numbers that have shown up on your phone bill. Whatever the reason, there are different methods for determining who called. If you need to know, try the following:
Search engines. This is a simple way to find information on phone numbers. Simply go to a major search engine and enter in the number. What this works best with are listed landline numbers. The search engine will instantly provide the owner’s name and address with a handy satellite map. What it doesn’t work for are unlisted landlines or cell phones.
Reverse phone search sites. There are various sites that allow you to conduct reverse phone searches for free. Again, these work great if the number you are trying to find information on is a listed landline. Like a search engine, these sites can provide you with the owner’s name and address.
If the number is unlisted or a cell number, these sites will usually offer you a report for a fee. Contained within the report is the owner’s name and address, the phone carrier, the type of line, the owner’s other phone numbers, and even household members or relatives of the owner. There is Buy Leads a fee because it costs the directories more to obtain, organize, and maintain unlisted and cell numbers.
